Understanding Unit Pricing

Unit pricing is the cost per single unit of a product, regardless of package size. It's the most accurate way to compare prices across different package sizes. For example:

• Medium package: 500g for $8.00 = $0.016 per gram (better!)
• Large package: 1kg for $18.00 = $0.018 per gram (worse!)

In this example, the medium package offers the best value, even though the large package has the lowest total price per gram at first glance.
